According to Wikipedia a wiki is a collection of web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content, using a simplified markup language. What that means is plain English is that our classroom has become a publishing house with the entire web as our audience. We will be utilizing these pages to create, collaborate, and share our thoughts throughout the 2008-2009 school year.


Like any good written work requires, it is going to take a team effort to create a useful site. This year you will learn and utilize research skills, writing skills, and proof-reading/editing skills to showcase what you are learning.


And hopefully, if we create a useful site, the readership will follow.


Just like the famous quote from the Kevin Costner movie Field of Dreams, "If you build it, they will come."
